It was two stores that sold cigarettes to all the teens. One really nice Asian lady and one middle eastern dude who didn’t speak any English. My two goats back then

I couldn't do anything like this

I had to check id or risk going to court and getting a 500 dollar fine

you would get in trouble and not the employer?

But that type of thing was probably rarer back then

It's pretty common now they are always sending people around to make sure places are IDing people

Because it's store policy to check the id and you are the one that didn't do it

here its the employer who gets in trouble and not the person who didnt ask. I worked in retail for 9 years and I've never asked anyone and never got in trouble

My 23 year old friend got his real ID confiscated and kept by a bouncer because he had lost like 100 lbs since the photo

This very obviously 13 year old kid came in with an id of a 40 year old balding guy

Was very funny

His confidence was outstanding too he was like "what's the problem?" And started listing the dates and info off like he studied it

Kid was probably rad

Also being a white person and using a fake id on another white person is very bad strategy. You gotta find a non-white person who probably can’t tell the difference between white people

my mom told me when she was 13 she used fake id to get into the club

I had more interesting customers when I worked at a gas station

There was this little group of like 12 year olds and they were demons

Another customer told me they got in trouble for breaking into cars and stealing a gun
