you can really count on one hand the non-anglo rock acts who actually got commercial success in USA

plus with Cerati/etc. I feel that the spanish speakers who would listen to rock would just listen to the flood of mainstream rock in english with all the other rock fans. no reason for any label to try to market spanish rock to them instead of just regular english rock. and on the other hand the spanish language music listeners of USA probably didnt want any rock. so there was like no reason for spanish rock to crossover here

those guys also having very specific cultural/political things also prob didnt help. the rock nacional scene was very argentina focused (or at least broader latin america) and they never wanted to be otherwise
