not every kid in public school went through it feeling like a “winner”

and a generation of people who found it valuable to be more considerate of the plight of others is a sign of societal advancement

Kids don’t gaf about their first job because it does very little in providing for them, not because they got participation trophies.

“In 2004, schools in Massachusetts, along with Maine, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Texas, and Utah banned dodgeball, or its variations, including war ball, monster ball, and kill ball” other states have followed suit since then.

Insults aren’t “banned” per se but you can get into serious trouble for calling someone a f slur or whatever now. Which changes the whole dynamic.

Being “considerate of the plight of others” does not seem to have anything to do with what I was saying. Letting everyone pass even though they haven’t demonstrated that they learned anything was always a bad idea.

The people who DO care about their first job or any job are the ones that generally end up being the most successful. The others will blame anything else but themselves.

That literally has nothing to do with the lack of work ethic we are talking about. I suffer from inflation, rising prices and housing much like the rest of you. If anything, worse since I am the one supporting multiple people and paying all my own s*** lol
