Janice is the kind of narcissistic, chaos-spreading parasite who weaponizes therapy speak and spiritual buzzwords to justify her bottomless well of self-absorption. She’s a manipulative emotional vampire who crashes into people’s lives with a fake sense of enlightenment and leaves them worse than she found them—usually bruised, broken, or buried. She clings to New Age nonsense until it’s inconvenient, then flips into full-blown Jersey banshee mode when someone looks at her sideways. She’s a professional victim with a god complex, a control freak who thinks she’s a free spirit, and somehow manages to be both self-righteous and trashy in the same breath. Every time she appears, it’s like the universe is punishing the viewer for believing in character redemption.
This is getting dangerously close to another hour long artist personality discussion so I think this should end
Oh yeah, classic.

dangerously in love @Prince
with age, your capacity to hear higher frequencies lessens but we’re talking so high that it really doesn’t matter, you’re gonna cut those out regardless of your age.
reverse ageism tbh
older people aren't more skilled than younger people at anything honestly
not sure why 60+ people are more in demand for music positions than people in their 30s-40s
dangerously in love @Prince
Another classic record.
Although admittedly, there are much better tunes to be found on "Dangerously in Love" -- perhaps not to such an extent on Destiny Child's "Survivor," but still, I wouldn't call it my favorite tune, even on that studio album.

This is false. And goes back to something we talked about in here a few weeks ago. People who are currently older learned music the “correct way” and had to put a lot of effort into the craft. Where as most 30 year olds have grown up on DAWs, YouTube videos and now AI. There’s a palpable difference.
Namely: "Me, Myself, and I"; "Speechless"; "Naughty Girl"; "Crazy in Love" (feat. JAY-Z); and "Be with You" do come to mind.

not in the world of classical music or jazz where the old farts have no dexterity in their fingers and are stuck in their ways of playing the same 10 pieces/songs

Idk anything about that world but also nobody from that world is mainstream popular currently. Last person I can remember having any kind of motion was Miri Ben Ari
(feat. JAY-Z)
He appears there as a guest.
He raps a portion of the tune.
why'd jay z change his name like 3 times over
JAY-Z
Jay-Z
Jay Z
Honestly, I'm a big fan of a rather vintage 'Jaÿ-Z.'
