Fair lemme rephrase and take a stance then. It comes off as naive as my ideas though I get that you’re basing them practically with the situation as it is vs mine being more idealistic against them

My reason for disbelief in yours is my own lack of faith in Americans and the govt to properly follow your example. For my situation the ship has mostly sailed on no guns at all but I feel you could limit the kinds but I get your argument against mine as well in that it’s just prob impossible to curb on my end atp

The working class needs to be armed to defend itself from potential state violence or far-right extremism (especially if you’re a minority). Disarming the working class while the state and police remain heavily armed creates an power imbalance that will be misused undoubtedly. Gun control historically has also been used to disarm marginalized groups, especially Black and working-class communities like for example when the NRA supported Gun Control back when the Black Panthers had weapons for retaliation so they can disarm them (Mulford Act).
