When I was more sensitive and complained about mean humor they said I was doing a gimmick

i think there were deeper problems beside him being a vulture tbh. The hollywood album was rushed by his label and manager to make while he was touring, not even a year into b&b i feel that made him lose the music spark
They were trying capitalize on his wave because most successful artists have a 3-4 year window of success to capitalize on, longevity is a minority for the mainstream.
But bro def loves doing Pop and Country way more than he ever did hip-hop. He dipped out of that genre as soon as it was safe to do so without accusations of being a vulture overshadowing his career.
