Is it close to being as good as Sonic Adventures 1/2?

I always try 3d sonic games and get a bit excited at first
But then come to the conclusion that 3d sonic consistently has horrible gameplay

Have you revisited Adventures 1 or 2? I’m curious how they’ve aged

SA2 is my fav game ever
Frontiers has not a fraction of it’s swag
but still essential game for a sonic fan

SA2 is deeply flawed and downright bad in some aspects but the lore and aforementioned swag is what makes it special.
SA2 saw Sonic at his coolest. And isn’t that what Sonics all about?
