Unprompted MGK opinion because Spotify recommended a song

I think it MGK was making the music he was currently making now but was not a 35 year old ex rapper and was instead a zoomer pop star I would not be offended by it

It would be kind of fun, still corny, but a normal level of corny for radio pop

But unfortunately he very much so is a 35 year old ex rapper who transitioned to pop after losing in a feud to Eminem

So the optics just aren't there to support what he is trying to do

I think they need to find a different person to give these songs to

Like

If this wasn't MGK it would just be a kind of fun little pop rock banger

But like he's right there so it's impossible to really ignore

And like even if the song is kinda fun it's like why are you dancing MGK

tbh i really like some pop punk every now and again , but simply seeing his name stops me from pressing play

I love pop punk but it treads a very thin line to not be overly corny

And MGK being associated with the product is basically throwing it off of a cliff

And like if I really want to do that the Ataris already did it better 20 years ago without being a corny ex defeated rapper guy

only thing abt his music-related endeavors i have supported

more people should dance
