Much respect to Missy (the GOAT female rapper imo) and Kendrick
But nah 2001 mixing is unparalleled. The fact it came out in 1999 and it sounded that good is astonishing.
It’s even more impressive when you compare it to Compton and Missionary, and the mixing on both doesn’t come anywhere near how good 2001 was

Compton sounds like absolute s*** it’s so compressed (I think is the right term)
It’s because Dre mixes all of his music with beats headphones and mixing with Beats is a terrible idea because those headphones are automatically bass heavy/low end heavy.
