But I think the market for people buying 300 dollar watches is a bit different from the market looking to make multiple thousand dollar watch purchases

It isn’t a delusion. It’s true. I mean, there’s no reason to keep 5k in a checking account, when you could “keep the 5k” in a vehicle that appreciates value, like a watch

I would say that it’s stupid as hell to buy a $400 watch. It doesn’t do anything that a $10 watch doesn’t do, and it also doesn’t appreciate or retain value. It’s basically throwing money out the window, and for what?
