Oxnard isn’t complete ass. Tints, Anywhere and Cheers are great songs for example. But that album was a miscalculation on Dre and Andy’s end. What makes Andy’s music so good and infectious is his ability to weave Neo-Soul, R&B and Hip-Hop so seamlessly. That’s HIS bag. Dude can rap, but a whole project of traditional hip-hop from him was not the move, and Andy realized it afterwards.
Dre a legend who I will always give props to for giving Snoop, Eminem, Kendrick and Andy a platform, but his ear over the last 10 years is not what it was. Both Oxnard and Missionary which he was both heavily involved in, were not that great.
