ngl most of the time i prefer a singer who has their own voice and style or even a bad/weird voice that just sounds cool (to me) over the naturally gifted/professionally trained/using their vocal range to the fullest potential type singer who would participate in american idol n s***

like if you’ve heard one amazing american idol contestant singing you’ve basically heard them all

I agree, the most important part of a voice for me is personality. You don't need to be a "good" singer as long as the intended melody is clear
