You can get vinyl for cheap if you dig in bins at record stores
New fresh vinyls are gonna be expensive though because it’s really the only way to make good money off of physical releases in 2025.

iirc during Covid the main manufacturer of the vinyl material used for records burned down and more pressing plants ended up closing. On top of that, there were only a handful of pressing plants where the vast majority of vinyl records came from in the first place. That coupled with the rising popularity of vinyl records led to the massive price increase we’re seeing. I used to be able to get an LP for like $20 5 years ago and now they’re all at least $35 if not $45.
