If what I’ve read in conservative news, r/conservative, conservative ig pages, and talking to friends from the US who lean conservative they all pretty much admit they’d prefer Vance over Trump but can’t at the moment because Trump has the cult behind him.

Once that’s gone I think Vance is the clear Republican leader and conservatives will fall in line.

The Democrats are struggling with an identity crisis that Republicans are about to face once Trumps second term is up, which will make things very interesting.

Democrats are split between people trying to move more left and enact policies more akin to FDR and traditional centrists who want a friendly face and to keep the status quo as is with a few minor things passed for appearances sake.
