Some people probably aren’t bad people defending him, who strongly believe in the idea of “freedom of speech” and see this as someone trying silence someone else’s voice. But the problem is trying downplay what he’s said exactly. Some of his opinions genuinely are so blatantly racist that I gotta wonder if these people saying RIP even realize what he’s said beyond “he’s divisive”.
