If this is a simulation then there are a billion other simulations. And whatever simulating it is also a simulation ad infinitum. There is no origin, it’s a paradox.

Like do you believe in the concept of infinity. If you start counting now from 1, you will never finish. The origin of a simulation is that same concept but in reverse. You can keep trying to go back to a beginning but you will never reach it.
