    Hard, you like Dead Kennedys?

But they are on the list of bands that will be listened to

Minor threat, dead Kennedy's, bad brains, the circle jerks, bad religion, the descendents

Eventually it will evolve into a post hardcore/melodic hardcore phase and circle back around to my emo safe space

I am going through my punk phase 10 years late

    I haven't heard them yet

I've only heard the stooges, the adverts, the Germs, black flag, and the clash

You should give a listen to nirvana

I've slightly given up on the earlier 70s punk stuff because it's not especially appealing to me

Hardcore punk sounds good so far though

There's a general vibe of the hardcore bands that seems cooler to me

Punk Bands kinda seemed a bit tacky initially but hardcore punk feels more like diy/grounded and had a more natural energy to it

The earlier stuff at the time probably felt natural but I listen to it now and go "oh that's kinda corny"

    I think that is reasonable

Hardcore is really when it became its own totally different thing tbh. And there's not really a ton of the early stuff (only really a few years worth) compared to hardcore and the stuff that followed after

Like if you checked out the main handful of those first wave bands like Ramones, s***pistols, clash etc then thats enough if you don't want to go further

Old Louisville scene is where it’s at. Rodan, Slint, June of 44 can’t remember if B**** Magnet is Louisville off the top of my head but they rip. They’re a lot faster and heavier compared to the mathy slower stuff I listed.

Unwound and Fugazi are the all time goats tho
