Idk I still feel like the history doesn't justify what's going on now. Something like that should probably be looked at in a pretty black and white way just to be safe. If you are unwilling to say it's bad people should probably be mad at you

Fair warning it’s kinda boring but I really like itI liked it. for sure. lot of beautiful cinematography etc and soundtrack was heat
also liked having a clearly autistic main character lol. but man i did NOT f\*\*\*ing get it. like literally just the last 20 minutes confused tf out of me, before then i was really enjoying everything about it. gonna have to read about it a bit

she basically poisons him to make him submissive for love every so often which they both get off on / like. They show a cut to like a possible future I think of them having a kid but I’m pretty sure that didn’t happen. Most of the movie kinda flashbacks while she is talking to that young doctor that is into her during that last bout of her poisoning DDL that we see him let her do.
As far as themes idk beyond what people will do to themselves to become great artists and how it affects those around them. Also what the people around them need to do to be seen or be loved etc
