Pitchfork gave nirvana good reviews 2..... it doesn't even make sense
That was a long time ago. Pitchfork used to focus on music
I was just explaining why I said pandering Pitchfork opinion
pandering to myself and my own taste would be more accurate
Anyway it wasn’t a serious comment, didn’t require a 2 page conversation

You brought up pitchfork saying something they never did as a way to disrespect someone's opinion
When they just like one band more
You brought up social issues no one else lol ur being crazy

celebrity skin is underrated too imo but i feel like thats in part bc i enjoy billy corgan’s alphabet soup songwriting
that combined with the poppier sound creates a very satisfying contrast that makes my brain feel real good

1 second google search; from Vice
Over the years, though, people have relished chatting s*** about Courtney Love. While Kurt Cobain has long been heralded as an icon of our times, Courtney has been painted as a villain, arguably for the exact same reasons. She's done everything that male musicians are often romanticised and celebrated for, but instead she's been painted by the media as a kind of one-dimensional, psychopathic caricature. Always wild, forever unruly and stubbornly unapologetic for it, Courtney's mere existence has proved divisive, her and Hole's musical output often falling by the wayside in the process.

You're an obnoxious person when you get in your sneaky Steven crowder fan bag
And this isn't even saying what you were originally saying

Celebrity Skin was Hole proving they could make anthems and radio friendly songs with the best of their peers. They did it but it's not my fav.

to be fair
none of this has anything to do with my preference for hole over nirvana

It was an off hand comment, not really serious. But it’s certainly been very common among 2020s music critics to let social issues dominate their opinions
