THC and CBD are synergistic with each other. A little bit of THC is necessary to activate the CBD (and other cannabinoids, there’s a lot) so a 100% CBD vape or edible usually doesn’t really do anything though.

You could buy hemp flower which is legal and usually has 1-2% of THC but is mostly cbd and that works ok
