both are classics, but let me explain myself
the aesthetic of SA1 is slightly more in line with the classic games, and i appreciate that in the first game u dont HAVE to do the boring parts ie the knuckles/rouge levels
and i generally enjoy those levels! but being able to complete the game with just sonic is nice
also while I generally enjoy everything aesthetically about SA2, it planted the seeds for the sorta edginess that would plague the series on and off during the 2000s

He does have a few that suck but it’s overblown to hell
