I am a bit overly careful maybe because I had a dog that died seemingly out of nowhere once

She was like running around and stuff

And she begged like normal so i don't think she's feeling very bad

Just smelly runny poop

It was very gross

yeah and i mean that happens to animals sometimes unfortunately.

but I dont think sue having diarrhea is very likely at all to cause that, unless she stops eating and drinking, is lethargic and wont stop diarrheaing.
def keep an eye on her if other symptoms appear though.

if i had to guess, its probably the food switch or she got into something she shouldnt have, itll pass on its own. and even if it doesnt, it will almost certainly be fine waiting a couple days for a regular appointment and save yourself a fortune.

also vets run all these bs tests and do all sorts of garbage to charge you money for no reason. I would only take her if she wont stop and stops eating

yeah i think shes probably fine just keep an eye on it, i personally wouldnt take lilly to an emergency vet if she was going through that

shes not doing it on the floor is she? its still in her litter box?

Some vets are scammers

My brother's dog needs allergy medicine so he went to schedule a vets appointment to renew the prescription

They insist on doing like 700 dollars worth of extra stuff to see him at all

Like it's the same exact vet that saw the dog already and originally wrote the prescription for the allergy meds so he knows it's completely unnecessary

He's just trying to scam

It also just bothers me still having to go to work

i cant even get into it man, ive been ripped off so badly by vets i hate them.
my old dog had attisons, which is when your body sops producing cortisol and you die. all you need to a steroid that produces cortisol for you.

we brought him in 3 times during a week to avoid emergency fees, everytime they said it was something else or that he missed my dad since he was away for a week (did this all the time the dog didnt care).

on the weekend he collapses and when we bring him in he is going into shock and dying. my dad literally googles the f***ing symptoms in front of the vet, attisons came up, the vets ran a test and it is what it was. insane.

and then they charged us 400 for the pills, but we were able to get costco to dispense it instead and they put the dog in as a person using his perscription, charging only like 70 bucks.

exact same pills. ugh i hate them man

I wouldnt assume the worst, it’s pretty unlikely theres anything wrong. seriously!

if she was jumping around and eating before u left she’s probably feeling fine!!

I think a lot of them know what they are doing and specifically do these things to try to get you to have to end up paying for more expensive issues that could come from not just solving the obvious minor issue

also often when you pay for like a paw print or something after the pet dies, they will send you a arbitrary one and not your actual pets.

i saw someone on youtube do it for his hemingway cat with an extra toe bean and the paw print he received jsut didnt have the extra toe print.

Doctors can't do it (as much or as blatantly) with humans

They should have it back now and online it says if their stomach is upset from changing food you can switch it back and it should help

I only switched to salmon&rice dry food instead of the chicken and rice because they were out of stock
