OrangutanTo me, a solid state amp sounds clean and clear, but the "image" of whatever instrument I'm listening to sounds more like a reproduction of the audio than the audio itself, which isn't necessarily a bad thing
Whearas tubes kinda make it sound like there's an actual guitar being strummed or snare being hit in my room
Solid state is like seeing a really high quality image taken with an expensive camera, tubes are like being able to step into a slightly lower quality image
