like before the 1900s comic books didnt exist really like they do now. its a new art form. combining quick images with words to tell intricate stories was very rare or difficult to do.
the 21st century with memes basically enabled that image+text way to communicate large amounts of info in a shorthand way, its like that all of over again, but much more influential

yeah exactly. although its on this huge huge scale.
even emojis is an example of it.the way humans communicate information changed so much so quick because of computers. combining images with text quickly is very effective at concentrating large amounts of info into small and quick to digest bits
and its used by the youth mostly, which are the most important group of people to influence to create change

im sure the cia in general has had a massive influence on internet culture and still does on both sides of the spectrum.
I think the internet becoming corporatized and comglomerated into like 3 or 4 sites and apps is a way to control information and was def influenced by the government

I think humans are animals at the end of the day and out for themselves for the most part
The cruelest and most adaptable "win" in the societal structures set up explicitly for them, all while demeaning those who don't succeed in those structures or don't want to participate in them, to the point where it's engrained in nearly every person that those sentiments are tantamount to moral failure.
All you can do is be aware of it, internalize the fact that you're the captain of your own ship, and decide for yourself how much you want to participate in this silly game.
