writing mystifying to me how people can come up with sentences that feel the way they do is wild

writing i always felt was my strongest suit in school

like ig i was very good at math but thats so mathematical and exact

i always liked psychology and open ended s*** and ways to express myself

its a skill i really wish i had

maybe one day ill get into it

have u considered taking writing seriously too?

i love math too and switched from a applied math and physics honours to painting and drawing for that exact reason thats its less exact.

u see someone writing and u call it chatgpt

i said it was worded somewhat similar but all bruises posts are raw and real

yeah, most skills are a choice to have to a huge degree. its just getting the right information and habits you internalize. and getting feedback from the right places.

but writing and a lot of art, you have to have life to pull from and if you dont live a full life (whether good or bad or both) and grow as a person, your art will be flat.
you cant teach that component.

it’s something I know I could get good at. Just haven’t arrived to that moment in life where I wanna dive deeper into it.

same with singing. Ive had small moments where Id practice and learn but they were short bursts. natural ability is also a bigger factor there and i dont consider myself naturally gifted at it so its a bigger thing to tackle.

yeah its a huge time sink and at the expense of other things so u gotta prioritize.

singing def something theres a natural aspect. same with a lot of sports.
but def with consistent practise you can become a lot lot closer to a naturally gifted person, than an untrained person is to you
