Does this book work for drawing ducks as well as rabbits
yes this is for everything
any animal, any object, any personeverything can be broken down into rectangles, spheres and cylinders. (and you use a rectangle as the starting point for spheres and cylinders) and this book is how to draw those 3 things :)

So right now my issue is that I can only imagine things as 2d shapes
So like when I go to turn them it jumbles it up because 2d things don't turn
This book will teach me to imagine the things as all 3d shapes so that way they can turn and twist and live
Then after this I can feasibly draw a rabbit in any situation my heart desires

What if instead I decided to just physically sculpt all of my characters and then posed the sculptures and drew exactly what I saw
Would that be the same thing basically but cheating

absolutely its the foundation of it
and after you have the 3d stuff down
if you want more movement in the twists and to put more life in it. as well as details on how to break things down into the spheres and cylinders i can give u a link another book to as well!
the movement comes additional technique ontop of the 3d stuff. but you cant do the movement stuff without the 3d
but this isnt dry like perspective stuff, its just suggestions and tricks on how to give it more movement and how to see what you need to break stuff down into those shapes.
totally optional but if you still get frustrated after this and that the outcome still isnt where you want it, i got lots fo stuff to help

this is a fanastic idea to do this ALSO, i highly recommend it because its not cheating at all, its a the best way to learn this 3d stuff.
knowing how what you make and see in real life, relates to on the 3d space on the page will really help you visualize things in 3d. you wanna undertsand what exactly you’re capturing on the paper, not look at it as these abstract rules that give a good looking result.
but if you did that instead the perspective stuff, you will have a hard time getting it right even looking at it.

StankieCalled my buddy retarded when he asked for help lol. Idk if you’re familiar with blackjack but literally EVERY time i’ve played in the past, if you ask the dealer what the odds say, he’ll tell you if you’re better off hitting or standing (based on the statistical odds of your hand vs. the dealers hand).
