@Extraterrestrial and @Tuneout my only true friends feel free to share usagi yojimbo thoughts
I think the art is the highlight he's really good at cartooning. All the electric poses and action heavy panels were very fun. Everything feels so fluid and the movement has such weight to it!! There weren't any sloppy panels either which is impressive.
The stories were nice and they are all pretty simple (which is probably pretty ideal for introducing the world/characters.) I was expecting some more direct silliness but he doesn't really engage in that. The writing is solid though. The characterization is very strong and you can tell he already had a firm idea for who Usagi is as a rabbit samurai. I do hope that as the series advances the character finds himself in more complex stories though.
Overall I liked it a lot
I enjoyed it quite a bit myself. I like that he does the twist ending bit in a lot of the stories, and I didn’t feel like it was predictable. The characters are likable and that art is fun. I would read more tbh.

Much to understand institutionally about the space that I was previously entirely new to
That’s about it. The challenge now is to boss up on all the lil homies…

Love that. Thank you.
My issue here is it’s just a ton of information to retain and it’s not a job you can really practice effectively because a lot of it is stuff you wont see again for months.
I remember my first week here and our guy thats supposed to know everything, been here for 11 years, said “oh ya idk what that is” on atleast two occasions.
so its cool cus its constant learning but also id like to feel confident by now.
