in university half of my electives were english and the other half theology so i was doing a s***load of reading on a tight schedule and it was overwhelming. i havent read a book since i graduated but i need to start.

there were so many great books i read in uni (lots of bad ones too) but it was hard to enjoy them because i was rushed through them

this is a hilarious thing to get mad at a kid about!!
if my kid was reading at the dinner table i would be so happy reading is so important

something I love about the comic cup is that its getting me back into reading comics which i havent done in a long time. its like im gettin back in touch with my younger self, i love it.

i like comics the most since i love art :)

english was prob my 2nd or 3rd best subject in school overall but i didnt take any classes of anything remotely similar to that in college. might have been fire if i did honestly

i never took a college class where i had to write a paper outside of like 2-3 GEs maybe

well not actually mad just annoyed and they made me put it away. they encouraged me reading a lot

now that is awesome. i wish we had that. thats why i was disappointed the 90% pure stuff was bunk because it was 100mg for like 8 bucks.

now if you took that and had no tolerance i could see why people have issues with it. 80mg is a lot.

im going to take 40mg at once in an hour.

yeah having to read 2 novels or more a week and write like 10 or 15 page papers regularly is so much busywork.

i learned a lot though. i got more out of my theology and english classes, enjoyment and skills wise than the art classes at univeristy.

gave me a lot of confidence in my writing. and i never used chatgpt to write anything and i think most people were so profs gave me good grades hahahah

chatgpt didnt exist yet when i was in college its crazy i was among the last people to go to college in the pre-chatgpt and pre-covid era

some of ym fav books are anything by neil gaiman, i love kurt vonnegut, and i love mark twain a lot.

i really enjoyed reading the song of ice and fire books (game of thrones) and now im halfway through infinite jest and its fire so far

maybe you are! just because i draw doesnt mean im more or less visual. apparently most people cant do that and get the number right.

actually there is a unusually high amount of visual artosis who have aphantasia. the guy who created ariel in the little mermaid cant picture anything. when he draws he lays down a pile of light scribbles and has to pull the picture out of it since he cant imagine what hes suppose to draw

yeah im like that unless its something i really enjoy.

i cant lock in and focus on stuff thats boring. and if i had to live life doing that id be miserable

Making music was a big one I could like lock in and focus just on making music for 5 hours

But drawing I have to try not to become distracted

Which doesn't make sense because I enjoy drawing more music just makes me mad
