i have heard the Neurosis and Jarboe collab album though although i need some more spins of it

They did so many different styles over the years, and soundtracks for the blind is by far the most difficult listen

Genuinely don't think anybody should listen to that album until they're very familiar with everything that came before it.

The Great Annihilator is a good pre-reunion swans entry point

ive never been toa. metal show before.
the hardcore shows i went to were all local growing up. my friends played in bands and i would tag along.

it was fun and pretty violent. being like 16 and going to some random mid 20s person shed and moshing.

i went right into soundtrack beause that was always their most famous album and post rock fans rec it all the time

metal shows are amazing

its really nice how you can really feel the subculture part of it. like really feels like similar people all gathering and theres a big mutual community feeling.

hardcore/punk is def like that too a bit but i feel it more with metal

i was extremely drunk at a festival and destory lonely was playing and everybody was moshing and i joined it.
it felt wrong ngl and i was probably the oldest person doing it by a few years lol

great festival though saw jai paul

i havent been in that many metal moshpits anyway tbh in my younger years i did some EDM ones lol

yeah! with local punk shows it def had that feeling.
i met lots of friends and stuff there. here we didnt have metal concerts or anything its so isolated.

at a tyler the creator concert i was at they opened up a mosh pit but i wasnt on the floor. it felt odd lol

metal shows are fire

those are the crowds where i can actually get into convos about people with the most niche music compared to other genres. like not a lot of casuals are going to see black metal and death metal bands theyre really about that s***

metal (only occasionally, depends on energy)

fair warning they make you work for the actual song
