Stankie@KodakSpice When you get a chance you should listen to Nick Drake - Pink Moon. One of my favorite albums ever like probably in my top 3. Dropped in 1972 and Nick Drake never really got famous during his life, ended up dying of suicide 2 years after the album dropped. Then, in 1999 Volkswagen used a song by him in a commercial and his music exploded in popularity (at least in the US). It’s a pretty sad and mellow album, but very very good.

kinda honestly but not really the same way. and the kinds of music that people would call 'pop metal' is really just coming from the mainstream hard rock element of it. Like Motley Crue or something if u know them
or some bands like Sleep Token (ass) that play metal and also play some pop but its not really 'pop metal' like a whole subgenre like pop punk is

i didnt know that but it doesnt surprise me. he was kinda obscure in his day and fraught with problems. and back then its not like now where recording is easy.
