I think thrash metal like Metallica and stuff being the most popular form of metal gave me the wrong idea of it

I thought it was just very loud fast tacky biker guy music

This sounds very good and is moody and atmospheric and thick

i know the big bands like sabbath, slayer, maiden, megadeth.

idk is system of a down counts as metal but i LOVE THEM
