too early to nostalgia bait too late to be cool
proper genres are dead is everyone makes music that's just random ass sounds not knowing wtf they doing
I loved super eclectic artists growing up but hate all these new Internet artists with 100 genres mixed
There's no culture. Just vibes
when those sound collages hit tho they hit
yeah when it's done well it's amazing but it feels like nobody knows wtf they're doing
Nort the goat of non-english music

theres a similar epidemic in the painting world where people just add as much s*** as they can to a painting and make it as detailed as possible.
it can work but you have to be deliberate and know composition for it to work. You cant use decorations as a distraction

Can't say i have something specific since this is prolly the first album i'm listening to in arabic

in my fine art world we say theres no rules just tools.
the more mental tools you know (anatomy, gesture, compostion, value control, perspective, mediums etc) the more things you can do. doesnt mean you have to use all of it. but it just gives you more options to make a more concise piece of work thats true to your vision.
kinda like how you can build a cabin with an axe and a hammer and nails, or you can learn architecture and cat machines and make a skyscraper.
if you know how to make a skyscraper, you can still make a mean cabin
