    A tube contains a vacuum.

When you turn a tube on the "getter" attracts all stray particles to perfect the vacuum.

The cathode, which is coated in barium oxide, activates and starts emitting electrons, which are attracted to the anode. This creates a steady flow from the cathode to the anode.

Between the cathode and anode, there's something called the grid. Imagine the grid like blinds on a window opening and shutting super fast to only allow some electrons from the cathode to reach the anode.

The weak audio signal is applied to the grid, which controls the opening and closing. The cathode has a ton of power running through it. It's much stronger than the initial weak audio signal. By applying the weak audio signal to the grid, you can shape the electron flow into a much stronger copy of the initial signal, and that copy is what the anode receives, and what you hear on your headphones (not exactly, the amplified signal from the anode still needs to go through a transformer or something before it hits your headphones, but you get the general idea)

If you wanna dip your toe in the water, the Schiit Vali 3 is relatively inexpensive as far as audio gear goes, and the tube type it uses (5670 family) is pretty affordable too. Now it is a hybrid, so it's not a "full tube amp" (output stage is solid state), but it's a great sounding piece of kit, and it let's you experiment with a little bit of tube sound so you can decide if that's your thing before going balls deep on a full tube amp.

can you guarantee that i will actually hear any difference at all if i use some tube s***

not even better just any difference that is noticeable
