We spoke about it before but maybe I should seek a mentor. I’m just preoccupied with getting further into my tech career
which I’m fine with because I am content with just keeping music as a private hobby and not a career.
yes we did!
sometimes you gotta work to make it work! money and stability opens a lot of doors!
i think the biggest advantage of it, even if you don’t make a career out of it, is it saves you a ton of frustration. you get to learn from others peoples mistakes and not figure things out on your own. and are exposed to information thats impossible to find by readin
whats your dream job
probably as a recording artist/producer but I question how comfortable I would actually be in that situation
although i wouldnt mind do audio engineering as a career actually
i think that would be an awesome career for you.
you love music, you dont wanna be in a spotlight, you enjoy technology stuff, you have a very careful and accurate ear.
its a mix of everything you enjoy wihtout the downsides of making music professionally yourself

FLOWER is a masterpiece

100%
with youtube videos and books, you can learn what youre suppose to learn and get some great stuff out of it.
but you will never know what youre doing wrong unless somebody tells you or you spend years and years doing something you could figure out in 2 weeks with guidance. and theres a lot of subtle information thats specific to your weaknesses that isnt in them.
you getting nervous
well it’s moreso that I’m not as skilled in the areas I want to be yet and the whole sharing music thing still gives me pause
it would beat youtube videos for sure lmfaoo
Busyworks beats

it wont work if you dont have stable employment and income in the present tho so thats def #1 priority, u got your whole life to figure it out

EXACTLY and I would love to have that.
Busyworks beats
very bad and makes the exact type of production tutorial videos that I try to avoid
well it’s moreso that I’m not as skilled in the areas I want to be yet and the whole sharing music thing still gives me pause
the lack of skill thing i find a hard line to walk. because the more you learn the more you realize there’s stuff you dont know, your standards increase faster than your skill always and something that blows people away, you wont fill skilled enough to do.
but if something really is garbage and you put it out here it can def taint how people look at your art in the future.
idk what the answer is tbh. you almost need a second opinon you trust and take it on faith its good enough.

its out there
it just costs money to access. which you will get

Ka worked as a fire fighter full time he died. sometimes you gotta work,
the starving artist thing a cliche myth, it rarely works out that way.
people who are motivated and work are the ones who succeed.
as long as people are brave enough to take the dive and quit their comfortable job eventually
