the odds of them self imploding would be too high.

sharks arent taking over a galaxy. I dont think its accurate to use animal morals as blueprints for a civilization that is so intelligent and powerful, it makes us more comparable to bacteria to them, rather than animals.
and we know the most succesful apex predators on earth (humans) do kill eachother. and are currently facing multiple great filter threats because of it.
