Do you have a problem with people lumping non severe dependent autistic people in there or should we only save it for the most extreme cases
i completely undertsand that.
but obviusly the worst end of a spectrum for one disorder can be less disruptive than being on the better end of a spectrum for another
it’s not that i have a problem with people moving to a spectrum approach to autism unlike in the past.
its the layman’s understanding of what a spectrum means and who are the faces of these issues. people who are severly dependant with autism are not “the most extreme cases” they are roughly half.

Nortbut like these things all exist on a spectrum you know so that’s why there’s not a threshold you have to necessarily pass to be considered neurodivergent. there’s people with adhd that are more hindered by their diagnosis than those with autism, and vice-versa.
just because somehting on a spectrum, doesnt mean that spectrums are equivalent.

Also comparing two ends of two separate disorders seems unnecessary rather than comparing two of ends of the same disorder
Like severe OCD and Light autism manifest in different forms but I wouldn't compare them, I'd compare severe OCD to less severe OCD etc

no they should all qualify i just think the public should be better educated on what spectrum means and that it doesn’t mean the trendy light hearted poster children people have for this stuff. and that certain spectrums are so much less debilitating than others, its funny their all considerd under the same umbrella
