I usually hate the corny music fan edits like this

If you ignore the corny title this one kinda sounds like if drake kept some of the same habits/style he had on take care and adapted it to new sounds instead of just doing new sounds though

same! it was on sale for like $6 canadian

I like Iceman a lot but drake would benefit so much from working with producers who were willing to be more adventurous than just adding beat switches

He's still rapping great coming up with great melodies and stuff

But the producers he's around don't make the most out of what he's doing

He's just working with like some plain beat makers

I think at this point he uses the Honestly Nevermind/Maid Of Honour type albums to try different production

I guess it just makes no sense to me because he was already doing that on his earlier albums

like having production that contributed to full epic songs

Idk why he pivoted and decided to just have trap beats with switches

That's a problem with rap in general now though

Like the rapping is fine, even the beats are fine beats, they can come up with a catchy hook

But the production has none of the bells and whistles

Like they just have a guy whip up a beat or pick a random beat and put the song on top of it

They aren't writing/making full songs

if it was mixed better id might say i enjoy it more than the regular song

9/10 rap songs sound like a prewritten radio freestyle now

Drake still comes up with stuff that could be utilized to make way bigger more impressive things but they just don't do that

But it makes no sense because they all also go back and stream the old Kanye stuff and the old drake stuff where they very much so did that

I think he’s shown a willingness to try new things on MOH but in general I think he lacks quality control. I only care to revisit a handful of songs across all 3 albums and that stinks.
