i also own some nintendo stock, and it's done poorly.

but i had a successful run with them when i bought in after Wii U and before switch took off. made a killing there and sold it.

gave a lot of it back this past year when i bought back in but i expect it to rise again. it's crazy that it's down so much over the last 5 years given that the switch 2 is doing well and they successfully launched a hit movie franchise

People bought switch 2 off the strength of switch 1. As things currently stand, there won’t be nearly the same interest in switch 3 down the road. Add rising memory prices to that and the long term outlook doesn’t look good. The upside is that it’s Nintendo and they have enough cash to do more things. It’s just they’re not doing them right now

mario movie 1 and 2 both did a billion. zelda next but i'm not sure if zelda will crack a billy because it won't be a silly comedy like mario so it might be harder to get all the kids into it. i assume it'll be a drama with much less comedy (still some). i'm thinking it'll be a hit but will do more like 750 mil

star fox movie should also do really well.

not sure how much this factors into the stock price or how much profit nintendo makes on these but it seems like a good revenue source to me
