He didn’t and that’s the worst part.
He was entering his prime in 2018 when he died. He was about a year away from a full blown career revival. John Mayer saw his last show live and was blown away by his musicianship, which says alot because John Mayer is a great musician.

Yeah but Bruises has been heavily implying that Macs death is the main reason why people are giving him props as If he wasn’t releasing great music when he was alive.
That’s why @saveme is upset about it and I understand. It’s wrong and disrespectful.
I said he had fans while he was alive so I was not implying its the only reason
The "legend" stuff and a lot of the praise feels like it is because he died though
