I only know one person with a Switch 2 and they're about to sell it to buy an Ayn Thor because they don't play online and the Thor just does everything better. You can even hook it up to your TV without an $80 dock and connect the controllers you already own via bluetooth or wire

The Thor is more compact, better screen, better built in controller (joy cons ) better couch co-op, plus you can play all ur non-switch stuff too

It's serviceable, but there's just not much of a value proposition there until it has some system seller games

Like if there's a new 3D Mario or Zelda, I'm there. But the 4th Starfox 64 remake and "This is what Zelda will look like in 2013" ass OOT remake are not doing it for me, or anyone I know

The console is selling well though so more power to them

The leap from ps1/2 meant you could play dvd's on a gaming console which at the time was often cheaper than an actual dvd player when it came out. Don't think anything compares to that

I have no problem with the Switch 2, it looks fine and it's basically just a hardware upgrade of a great, decade-old console

Also most people don't wanna put in the work necessary to set up an android based emulator and that's okay

But I'll just say that everyone I've shown the Thor to has reacted like I just handed them the holy grail, and I couldn't pry that thing out of their hands for the next few hours

Switch 2 is like, yep that's a switch alright

switch being a definitive portable console that can compete with regular consoles and doubles as one, was a bigger innovation than wii sports imo
