OrangutanThey want me to build a local LLM for the company but can't tell me what they want to use it for
The one thing they do want to use it for can be achieved will far less time and money
Like if they want a local LLM that's fine but spending five to ten thousand dollars on hardware or hundreds a month on cloud hosting, on top of months of work just for the sake of having our own AI just seems nuts to me
Like everything we do up here can be automated with hard code or just use existing APIs for tasks that AI is actually good for
