i think since the LP era kicked in, music has always been either similar in quality of getting better since the volume increases. and the differences are impossible to quantify anyway so i cant really discuss it much

like if you had 200 amazing albums in one year and 300 in another year, is the latter one "better"? there are just too many factors. or do you just compare the absolute best of the best? in that case i dont think the peak quality of music will ever change much
