I simply need to quit this job

Ive worked here for too long now

Its the only explanation for why I have been so grumpy lately

Wait I just saw what fantano gave the new uzi ep

I change my mind it's perfectly appropriate to be vocally upset about this

    getting jobs is hard

I'm annoyed by the whole concept of it

I personally feel as though I missed the boat to find a career/a job that would actually financially support me because I couldn't spend my early adult years doing that (I had to immediately work any job I could find to have to live)

I wish I could have had the more normal path of like having parents that could support me and going to school to work towards planning out what I'd actually do

But unfortunately my parents died early after being failures for the most part

  • Like obviously they wouldn't still be responsible for me

But I was not set up for success financially or when it comes to mindset/planning

In my opinion you shouldn't have kids unless you can do the bare minimum to provide a smooth transition to adulthood

  • And like thinking about that too much and talking about it is probably just whining/pointless

But it's true. The rat race is designed for you to stay stuck in it

  • I fw weed but hate how it makes ur balls hurt

this is a brutal spot to be in bruises idk what to say

credit to u for grinding it out and making it work. You still managed to carve out a life for yourself, which a lot of people wouldnt in that situation. i woudlnt of been able to do that.

I dont think you entirely missed the boat to find a career/job that aligns more with the things you want, people do this who are way older. Im sure there are options out there, even if theyre hard to find/hard to get to.

Yeah I know I'm not like too old to do things, but the idea is that the structure is kinda messed up

Instead of working towards something like that I need to make sure I have money to live. I was also not pushed to plan for the future at all (or pushed at all). My mom was far too relaxed with the "do what you want just be happy" style of parenting, which sounds nice but it was mostly just because she had kids because she enjoyed babies and then was incompetent when it came to raising them

    Its easier said than done

As I was essentially raised to not flourish and then my entire idea of adulthood has just been this

Like it's a nice concept but it's also true that the apple doesn't normally fall far from the tree

not to sound overtly nice but i genuinely wish there was more support for people in these positions. my mom was like this for different reasons and i think its sort of forgotten about in a societal sense (young adults needing to work right away and the impacts of that etc)

shouldnt be like "oh you found a job youre good now, your lifes set"

that said i think theres a decent % of people that have career changes regardless, even if they had a good career in some cases. everyone takes their own path.

    Yeah that's true

It was not meant to comment on like the job market as much as it was meant to comment on like the importance of raising people to be successful

I have no idea what that stuff looks like on the inside of it or how to go about pursuing it or planning for it or how to even go about choosing what to do and what is or isn't realistic

  • lowkey been vibing with a male mole than usual lately. He f***s withh my brain alot with signals, which i enjoy because i just remember that its not ok to have these thoughts

youre right that a key part of raising a kid is to give them the information they need as an adult.

and having to work to take care of yourself in that situation makes everything infinitely more difficult

its basically a meme at this point but honestly there should be more resources for kids in school to learn how to be successful as an adult.
