Some headphones showcase it better than others, but the good thing about the Vali 3 is that it runs a ridiculous amount of voltage to the plate, so it's probably the "tubiest" a hybrid amp can sound at this price point. At the end of the day though, it is a hybrid amp, so it's gonna sound like a regular, solid-state amp (what you're used to hearing, even airpods use these) with a some tube flavoring

To get full tube sound, you need the tube to be doing both the preamp and power stage of amplification, whereas hybrid amps only use the tube for the preamp stage (which is why a lot of hybrid tube amps don't sound tubey at all, or if they do, it's because the tube is being starved of voltage to give you cheap, poorly distorted tube sound).

All of that being said, the Schiit Vali 3 is the gold standard for hearing what a tube sounds like at that price. If you wanted to absolutely guarantee a difference, the next step up would probably be a xDuoo TA-66 OTL amp, but you'd need to purchase high impedance headphones like the HD650 to use with that (all time classic headphone tho, highly recommend especially for paring with tubes) because that's a full, real-deal tube amp.
