In April 2026, Sky Ferreira publicly implied that Charli XCX had used material from Ferreira’s older, unreleased songs/demos on the Wuthering Heights soundtrack without giving her appropriate credit. The songs specifically discussed were “Chains of Love” and “Altars.”
Ferreira claimed she had proof and suggested that Charli had recorded her old songs.
