Was supposed to be on the OG Joyride; ended up on Nightride instead, which is essentially 90% of the OG Joyride anyhow, so.

There's been some workarounds in recent years that make it way more doable on ios than it used to be

but if you're even remotely serious about emulation, you'll want an android-based device

Like if you just want to play a few gameboy games for old times sake, you can do that on your phone

but if you want to do s*** like gamecube/ps2/3ds/wii u/switch, you either straight up can't on iOS, or you gotta go through the sideloading setup from hell, and even if you get it set up, it could break any day

Whereas with android (what many of the handhelds use), sideloading is stupid easy, and there's specific download managers that will keep all your emulators up to date automatically and configure s*** for you so you don't have to spend 8 years scouring github for the right versions and fiddling with config
