so this s*** essentially sucks lol

you get a weird comedown from the binding you dont get with traditional opiates.

and because its a partial agonist you dont get the full strength of the subjective effects

Yeah unless you do more than and there’s no weird comedown until you stop

But because it’s a partial agonist there’s much lower though still not impossible risk of a fatal overdose

tbh I get nauseous after a point even if I do keep doing it. its like my brain gets overstimulated from it or something.

Yeah I’m saying thats how it leads to dependence/addiction

Many things kind of but depends on intensity. Like there’s a comedown on MDMA but one that doesn’t compel someone to do more MDMA to stop it (not that it would work anyway)

I think AI will also fix dependence

    true!

personally I didnt find any compelling feeling to redose or take more tho. The thought was like taking a shot of liquor in the morning during a hangover kinda vibe.

im sure ppl do feel like that tho lol.

but it was nothing like the feeling of running out of coke when ur in the middle of doing it or anything. just subjectively

it will probably be able ot create novel things that do what sr 17018 does and help people who are dependant on stuff function better for sure.

but if people just want to get high because of their circumstances, ai is going to have to change many complex things about society to fix that. which who knows

I mean physical dependence , not necessarily addiction. Outside of any social or psychosocial factors, feeling like you’re going to die is certainly a strong deterrent in quitting something in someone who might otherwise quit

oh yeah it really could help physical dépendance for sure and will def minimize an pretty big obstacle to someone quitting.

probably will be one of the first things it will do since we already have designer d**** that seem to do that (that i think were made illegal which is wild)

There’s certainly an aspect of f***ing with the bag where like if something actually works well, the system wants to patent it and make money off of it.

But the reason the pushback against that is kind of ineffective is because most of these designer d**** are made in labs with 1/1,000,000th of the regulation or quality control of a corporate pharmaceutical lab.

So it’s a double edged sword

totally agree its a damned if u do, damned if u dont.

i guess u gotta weigh the risk of people continuing to use dangerous illicit d**** and the risks from getting these random 170897297438 tang name d**** from unregulated labs. vs the death from a lack of access from a for profit pill because of pricing.

in an ideal world the government would step in and cap profit margins on a pill like that so its accessible.
or even fund it and give it away for free to people who need it (like canada would do)
