Dude what? No. We called each other f**** and eds our entire life.
Then a lot of you dramatically changed when you turned 30 to like a weird extent
We’re moving you to honorary Gen X gramps congratulations
But to ET’s point I think most people never really cared in their private lives and social circles
But for a time you had to act like it meant a lot to you in public/online

My brother is part of this phenomenon
He used to be the edgiest person I knew
Now he's a crybaby
Tell me that you need me then you go and cut me off

And I do think it’s important to treat people / minority groups with respect obviously
And of course there are certain words that cross a red line
But trying to make everything hyper-inoffensive and sterile drove people insane

i had a teacher named mrs quann in middle school and once a week we had like 4 classes with her in a row or something. so i called it the quannathon and the quanacaust.
kids started printing t shirts with i survived the quannathon on it for the last day of school and the principal had to put out a warning saying nobody was allowed to wear shirts with I survived the quannacaust on it, but quannathon was allowed
ET I guess:

The closest relevant Harris polling, published in 2017, found 51% of teens versus 50% of adults reported telling someone it was wrong to call another person ed.
So about 50% of zoomers and 50% of millennials are both cooked I guess. Fair enough
