StankieOne problem i have with the concept of heaven and hell is that heaven cannot truly be perfection if i have certain loved ones that arent there because they’re suffering eternally in hell. Feel like that would really put a damper on things
some people interpret christianity to mean that hell is temporary and souls will be released from there eventually and back to heaven.
some people say heaven god fills you with so much boundless joy and love, its about between you and god as opposed to between you and other people.
You could argue, if you really like somebody, theyre probably a good person, even if theyre really flawed, so theyll get in.
maybe the concept of heaven in actuality would just be so complex and abstracted, it would be like a bacteria all of a sudden becoming a sentient human kinda vibes. so the question doesnt make sense
my undertsanding, is that you dont get into heaven by being a “good person” or not get in by “being a bad person” its more so do you legit regret you mistakes and acknowledge them. and people who do truly evil things, dont regret them. and if someone was really moving like that, I doubt you would want them around
theres a of different ways to interpret it and everyone does it differently.
one thing I super don’t believe in, is this like hardcore catholic heaven where if youre not baptized, you’re not this weirdo puritanical christian etc youre not getting in. i think thats a method of fear and control over people.
the point is to forgive yourself and others and not repeat mistakes
