but s*** like hurt feelings, self care, jet fuel, essentially the entire album too but... they were like a splash of color in a bleak time

i know just what you mean... i remember playing small worlds/buttons/programs nonstop with my brother before we moved out of our place and i went down south, and those were so fresh and new to me in terms of sound. then like you're saying s*** like jet fuel or hurt feelings, ladders, wings, etc. there isn't a miss on Swimming in terms of production, and there certainly isn't a miss lyrically. no filler. man found brevity in his writing and made sure you understood lines that were much more complicated than you'd think at first.

thats part of why i was so excited for what was next.

Circles really is one of the if not THE best posthumous album ever.

Jon Brion did an outstanding job respecting Mac's sound and vision while still implementing his own DNA within the music. It was definitely a worthy follow up to Swimming and it gave us Mac fans the closure we needed.

It still hurts that hes not here anymore I've been listening to blue slide park a lot lately. While I love his work after that with the darker more depressive tone, I just wanna reminisce the good days. When he still lived here and was a happy young kid before LA f***ed him up. I'll be real I can't listen to delusional Thomas anymore its hard cause of the dark place he was in when making it. I know hes playing a character but after his death listening to it is like wow. I can listen to watching movies faces and swimming but it's not all the way dark where DT to me was him at his darkest hard for me to listen to now a days.
